This is the first time that I have done something like this so bare with me while I learn the ins and outs of blogging.
First, about me. I'm a 28 year old husband and father of 2. The heaviest I've ever been is 307 pounds. This was about 9 years ago. I decided to get serious and lose the weight. I went crazy with exercise and dieting and got all the way down to 212 pounds. During that time I developed an eating disorder. I would not binge and purge but if I ate something that I knew was bad for me I would purge after doing so. This is not really something that men go through but it happened to me. My ex-wife caught me doing this and began really paying attention to my eating habits. Eventually, I began gaining weight again and slowly but surely I got back to 298 pounds.
Fast forward to November of 2009. I'm 298 pounds and feeling horrible about it. I decided to change some things and work on my eating habits. From November 2009 to today I've gone from 298 to 281. 17 pounds lost since November. Not too bad but I can do better than that.
My goal is this....I want to be 220 pounds by July 1, 2010. That means I have to lose 61 more pounds to make my goal. This blog is going to document my progress, keep me on track and hopefully inspire others to do the same thing for themselves.
